Mr. Carter received his B.A. from Duke University and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Delaware and is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association where he is a current member of the Torts and Insurance Committee and a former chairman and current member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee. He is also a member of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection of the Supreme Court of Delaware for eight years. Mr. Carter currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association (DTLA), has served as its treasurer, and has been co-chairman of the DTLA’s Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is also the Delaware Delegate to the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Workers Injury Law Advocacy Group, and is a member of the American Bar Association.
Prior to joining of Kimmel, Carter, Roman & Peltz, P.A., Mr. Carter served as Assistant to Director in the Administrative Office of the Courts for the State of Delaware and as Supervisor in the Justice of the Peace Courts.
